The Patriotic Front (PF) is embroiled in controversy as PF faction Acting Deputy Secretary General Celestine Mukandila levels serious allegations against presidential aspirant Brian Mundubile.
The charges include spreading false information, creating parallel party structures, and breaching public event protocols.
Mr Mukandila alleges that Mr Mundubile made unsubstantiated claims about party leadership scheming to expel him and his campaign team, violating PF regulations. Additionally, Mr Mundubile's campaign team is accused of promoting division by establishing parallel structures, contravening party rules.
Mr Mundubile is also accused of attending an illegal Tonse Alliance meeting without proper authorization and recognizing individuals dismissed from party positions by the president.
These actions are seen as undermining party unity and disregarding hierarchical authority. Mr Mundubile has been given 7 days to submit a written exculpatory statement to the Disciplinary Committee.
